Noah and the Ark
A long time ago there lived a man named Noah. The Bible says that Noah was a good man and that he walked with God.
God spoke to him.
—Build an ark of wood —he said—. Go into it with your wife, your sons and your sons' wives. And of every kind of animal bring a pair, so they can go on living. Bring food too, for you and for them.
Noah asked no questions. The Bible tells us that he did everything just as God had commanded him.
When the ark was ready, God said to him:
—Go into the ark with all your family, because I have seen that you are a good man.
Noah went in, with his wife, his sons and his sons' wives. And the animals went in, two by two, as God had said.
When everyone was inside, God himself closed the door.
It began to rain. It rained for forty days and forty nights. The water rose and rose, and the ark floated on the water.
Inside the ark, Noah and his family were safe.
Let's talk: Noah did what God asked. What good thing can you do tomorrow?
Noah was safe because he trusted God. You can trust him too. Goodnight.
