Story 27 of 100 · Based on Joshua 6

The Walls of Jericho

Joshua was leading God's people. They came to Jericho, a city surrounded by a wall, with its gates tightly shut. No one went out or in.

God spoke to Joshua.

And Joshua told the people:

So they did. Each day, for six days, they marched once around the city in silence and returned to camp.

The seventh day came. They got up at dawn and marched around seven times. At the seventh time, the priests blew the trumpets, and Joshua said to the people:

The people shouted with all their might, and the wall collapsed. That is how they took the city.

A woman named Rahab had hidden Joshua's messengers. That is why she and her family were saved.

Let's talk: Joshua and the people obeyed God step by step. Which is harder for you: waiting or obeying?

God does great things with those who trust him. Goodnight.
